At the core of our enterprise and our expanded service offering, rests the true heart of who we are. Over the years, our passion for serving others and supporting livelihoods, resulted in the formation of a non-profit organization, through which we facilitate efforts to give back to the community.
As a registered entity states-side, as well as in South Africa, we are committed to lead by example.
Cargo of Dreams, a duly registered not-for-profit organization in the USA (501(c)3), and Art 18A in SA, provides the legal platform for various initiatives.
CARGO OF DREAMS
The preschool initiatives are dedicated to transforming impoverished communities worldwide by converting standard shipping containers into fully functional operating facilities and meeting needs in the name of Jesus Christ.
THE GEORGE SUPER KITCHEN (GSK)
The GSK is blessed to have a state-of-the-art kitchen and equipment that includes a commercial bakery, ice machines and more. These are the founding blocks to provide freshly-made nutritious meals to children in a semi self-sustainable manner.
DOUBLE LEKKA BUS
Double Lekka used to be a public bus in the early 70’s and is currently in “great potential condition.” The original panels were removed for the frame to be overhauled. An ongoing project, we trust that those with the ability to install new cladding, floors and a new staircase will soon step forward.
Individuals or groups that are looking for a hands-on project to engage with, e.g. a men’s outreach group, will be much welcomed and very well treated during their stay in SA.
HUNTERS FOR THE HUNGRY
Here we have combined the love for the great outdoors and hunting with children in need of nutritious meals. Add a non-profit status with subsequent tax credits for involvement and you can become a hunter for the hungry.
